"The Perfect Sacrifice"  -  God So Loved The World, He Sent His Son

The Vision

While at rest before the Lord  I saw an altar of sacrifice in a blaze of fire.  In the center of the flames there was a single lamb.  This Lamb was alive in the blaze.  In the middle of the altar was a Cross and Star of David that was intertwined.  Then I heard the words,  “It is finished."

The Message

...It is finished “ (John 19:30) are the words from Jesus that inspired me to paint this vision.   Jesus completed the work that the Father had sent Him to do.  With one great act of love, the kingdom of darkness was overcome by the light of Christ---with such force, that it is said the earth quaked.  At that moment, the veil in the Temple which separated man from God was torn from top to bottom.  This was a divine act of God, the tightly woven veil (or curtain) could not be torn because of its thickness.  With the removal of the veil, man was no longer separated from his Creator.   Access was now granted through the shed blood of the Lamb.  The cloud around the Altar is His presence as it was back in the time when Solomon first dedicated the Temple.  The coming together of the cross of Christ and the Star of David represents the coming together of the law and grace.
